What They Build
Saankhya Labs develops wireless communication chipsets, software-defined radios, and broadcast and satellite communication technology.
Why They Matter
Communications silicon is a strategic layer because standards, radios, and spectrum all become policy and security questions. Saankhya matters as one of India's more serious attempts at owning communication-chip IP. Its position inside a larger telecom group could either sharpen commercialization or bury the edge that made it distinctive.
